Identity before fragrance
The strongest scent direction begins with who the brand is—not a list of popular notes.

The beginning
AS Home & Co. began during Shemiah English's pregnancy, with a heightened awareness of scent and one simple bottle of tea tree oil. What started as a personal ritual became a deeper study of how fragrance can shift a room, shape a mood, and attach itself to memory.
The first expression was hand-poured home fragrance. Working closely with products and customers created the foundation for something larger: helping businesses translate their visual identity, story, environment, and customer experience into scent.
“We do not begin by asking what candle you want. We begin by asking what your brand should feel like when someone enters the room.”
— Shemiah EnglishThe evolution
Today, the studio works at the intersection of brand strategy, fragrance direction, and tangible experience. Every project begins with context: who the business is, who it serves, what the environment communicates, and what should remain in memory afterward.
The result may become a signature fragrance, an in-space scent, a branded candle, a thoughtful gift, or a repeatable sensory system. The object can change. The intention stays consistent.

The strongest scent direction begins with who the brand is—not a list of popular notes.
We define the emotional response and atmosphere before translating them into fragrance.
A candle is one expression. The larger work is creating a sensory memory that belongs to the brand.

Meet the founder
Shemiah brings a strategist's curiosity and a maker's attention to every engagement. Her role is to listen for the details a traditional fragrance brief can miss—then turn them into a sensory direction that feels natural to the business and memorable to the people it serves.
AS Home & Co. remains intentionally collaborative. Clients are invited into the process through discovery, live scent exploration, sampling, and refinement, so the final direction feels considered rather than imposed.
